With their second project, Fibreglass Concepts entered the powered catamaran market with the EK55, Dual Image. Looking to the future, Dual Image was designed with more space, less bulk and the stability of 2 hulls. The combination of flared hulls and a gracious sheerline softened the often slab-sided powercat look. Built to accommodate all that the EK40 had been - plus more - the EK55 has increased storage capacity for dive gear and a large cockpit for kitting up, game fishing and hauling the catch aboard. The EK55 sleeps 8 adults, with an extra double berth on the bridge, along with extra saloon space for family playtime.

With twin Cummins engines, Dual Image has a top speed of 18 knots and cruises at a comfortable 14 knots.

Dual Image is now cruising beautiful Lake Wanaka in a tourist/sight seeing venture.
